Complaints-Appeals Policy
Nature and Procedure of Complaints
In case of any of the following complaints, the journal editorial team shall acknowledge the receipt of the complaint and initiate an investigation in line with relevant guidance from written policies and procedures of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) where applicable.
a. Allegations of Misconduct:
If an allegation(s) of misconduct, such as plagiarism, falsification of data, or fabrication of data, is made, the aggrieved party may formally complain to the Editor.
b. General Complaint:
Any person may contact the editorial management with a detailed written description of the concern and information supporting the matter at editor@idea.org.pk
Appealing the Publication Decision
At any stage, the Editor has complete discretion to determine whether a manuscript is appropriate for consideration in the journal. The editorial management of IDEA-PG believes that the journal editorial teams should not decline manuscripts without sharing a proper and valid statement of the rejection decision with the author(s).
The editor's decision to reject the manuscript is only eligible for a formal appeal if the author(s) believe that the editor's decision was based on an error in the manuscript review process. The author(s) may file a formal appeal against the rejection decision in such a case. However, the author(s) need to provide a written statement with a detailed description of the error that they believe has occurred and affected the review process of the manuscript.
Moreover, if the author(s) believe a publication ethics breach has affected the editorial team's decision to reject the manuscript, they may contact the editor with a detailed written description of the concern and the relevant information supporting the matter.
